Batman LEGOs

Building Block toys are the specialty of the LEGO Group and they have been doing a fantastic job at it since the 1940’s. Until 1999, with the release of the Star Wars Prequels, the LEGO Group avoided already licensed themes for LEGO sets. Fortunately they reversed their stance on that and have enjoyed tremendous growth since then. This has created huge opportunity to expand the LEGO Groups fan base into other markets, such as Star Wars, Spiderman and Batman. This is a win-win situation for both the LEGO Group and the licensed theme as there is opportunity to build on a fan base for both parties.

Of late my favorite theme of LEGO sets has been the Batman theme. Batman LEGO sets are becoming increasingly popular even though the LEGO Group has not released near as many sets for this theme as it has for other themes, such as the Castle theme, or the Star Wars theme. Despite this, Batman LEGOs are still very collectible and some Batman LEGO sets are becoming more and more difficult to find. This shortage of supply along with an increasing demand for these LEGO sets is causing many Batman LEGO Sets to increase in value.

One of the more rare Batman LEGO Sets is the Arkham Asylum set. This set is particularly significant because it has seven Batman LEGO Mini figures. A few of these figures (such as Poison Ivy) are exclusive to this LEGO set so for the avid Batman LEGO collector it is a must. The problem with that is that since it’s so rare, the price for this LEGO set is through the roof! Some eBay auctions for this Batman set can go for as much as $300 USD! For many collectors, this rules out collecting every single Batman LEGO Set and every Batman mini figure.

With the cost of some of the more rare Batman LEGO Sets, some collectors stick with simply trying to get their hands on all of the Batman LEGO minifigures. This can be much easier to do with the use of auction sites, such as eBay.

Many times you will find that eBay sellers are not good at spotting LEGO minifigs that are rare or expensive. You can also ask for more pictures from the seller if the pics taken do not show any close ups of the lot of LEGOs for sale.

Collecting Batman LEGOs can be a very fun way to pass the time. Many people choose a particular LEGO system to enjoy and in my opinion The Batman system of LEGO bricks is one of the more enjoyable sets because of how collectible Batman is.

Peter is a huge Batman fan and likes to collect Batman LEGO bricks. He also has a lot of fun getting his hands on Batman LEGO Minifigures.
